▶ Your Answer : There might be some people who believe that a job that gives you a higher salary and not much free time is better than a job that gives you lots of vacation time. However, I personally disagree with the above idea for the two subsequent reasons. First, a job that gives us lots of vacation time broadens people’s perspectives. Second, a job that gives us a higher salary and not much free time makes people’s lives stressful. To begin with, a job that gives us lots of vacation time broadens people’s perspectives. To be specific, people who have lots of vacation time can experience many things in life, and thus they have a bigger view on matters, which as a result allows people to better understand other cultures, lifestyles, and perspectives. This is helpful because today’s world require people with international views as modern society is becoming increasingly globalized. For example, my father made great accomplishments in his lifetime. He told me he was very successful because he was global-minded and culturally sensitive. He could do this because he could have a lot of free time, which allows him to travel to various countries and communicating with people with diverse background. In addition, a job that gives you a higher salary and not much free time leads to high levels of stress. To be specific, spending the entire day at work and coming home late accompanies a stressful process, which hinders people from building a better quality of life. Stress is the main cause of disease and dissatisfying life. Therefore, people should actively find ways to reduce stress and stay healthy by choosing a job that gives you a lot of free time. In conclusion, I firmly believe that the advantages of a job with lots of vacation time far outweigh those of a job with higher salary and not much free time for the reasons I have mentioned above. In this regard, I believe that a job that gives you more free time is better than a job that gives you higher salary and not much free time. |
