▶ Your Answer : Some parents pursue want their children's career is to be different from their career, because they know how difficult their career is difficult. But thinking differently, having a similar career with parents is better. There are some several advantages.
First of all, if parents and their children are in the a similar area, parents can give a lot of advise advice and help. They can understand how their son and daughter feel difficult from the work. It will be very useful. Parents can keep giving skills and know-how , that means children have an opportunity to develop. For example, my friend’s parents are running the restaurant. That restaurant has many customers, he always admire his parents and had a dream to run the restaurant. His parents opened a new restaurant for him. Before to open the restaurant, they are mentor for him. He had learned how to run the restaurant, how to cook and how to treat the customers. His food has problems, so his mom check and taught the recipe. He was worrying about the work, but his parents was big mentor to him. Soon after, he succeed with his parents.
Secondly, we can expect that we can do well as our parents. Not for everyone, but usually children are similar to their parents. So they have similar ability and personality with their parents. I saw many people’s job and parents’s job are related to each other. Also you can see many celebrity’s children jobs are similar to their parents. In my experience, my mom is good at the computer and English. Surprisingly, my brother works in computer program company and my major is English. For that, I realized our family’s interest and ability can be similar. I expect that my brother will do well as my mom. As a result, he keep works in same company more than 5 years. Also, I have passion about English but nobody forced me to study English. I naturally interested in English as my mom. So think I will do my work well that related to English just like my mom did.
For these reasons, to pursue a career that similar to parents is better.
