There are has been an argument regarding the issue of whether sports
and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries should
receive equal financial support at universities and colleges. Some people
maintain that it is not important to do sports and social activities as there
are many students that don't want to do that. From my perspective, however,
sports are important to students as it could reduce their stress of learning.
Also, the social activities could cause them to have critical thinking.
To begin with, sports can relieve student's pressure on the learning. To
be specific, sports can give them the rest time in the daily life so that they
can forget transitorily their course's study. Forgetting the study temporarily
can lead to them to have spare of their mind. This is effective to control
their stress as they can give their brain to other works. For example, in the
past, I studied hard without doing certain sports. At that time, I always had
pressure on studying hard so that I had stress on them. It makes me to do not
control my mind. So, I didn't acquire good scores in exam as well as I had a
mental illness. However, recently, after doing sports like soccer, baseball,
and weight training, I can have the spare of mind so that I can reduce my
stress of the learning. These actions can cause me to increase self-confidence
and relieve the stress of learning. Eventually, I could get the good scores in
major exam and cure my mental illness.
And, the social activities are very important thing. To be specific, the
social activities can trigger students to have a variety of thinking like
critical thinking so that it is helpful for the students. The students can
increase their range of thinking in their study through social activities.
These amounted thoughts can lead to them to write good reports and papers so
that they can get better scores in exam than students who do not have social
activities. In the recent research, it shows that the students having social
activities have more high scores in exam than the students not having social
activities. In this research, researchers argue that it is valid because the
results reveal that the students having social activities can think deeply than
the students not having social activities. |
