▶ Your Answer : There might be some people who believe that
friends who are similar to them is better than those who are different from
them. However, in my opinion, it is better to have friends who are different.
This is because, they enable me to broaden perspective and strengthen
interpersonal skills.
To begin with, having friends who are
different from me can broaden my perspective. To be specific, the friends who
are not like me might have different idea which I can’t think. Also in my view,
they can behave uniquely. I believe that these behaviors and thinking stimulate
and inspire me. Let me bring up my personal story as an example. When I was in
dormitory at high school, I met Jenny as a roommate. She was totally different
from me. She was active. But I was shy girl. By hanging out with Jenny, I could
learn many interesting games and stories. Finally, these things helped me to
broaden my perspective.
Second, friends who different from me
allows me to strengthen cooperation skills. Generally, in all our life, we can’t
meet person who is similar to me. We have to work with person who is not like
me. In this regard, I think having friends who are different from me is
benefit. From those, we can learn how to interact with people who is different
from me and even can strengthen interpersonal skill. According to research done
by professor Lee, person who have these abilities would be likely to have
better cooperation skills at work.
To sum up, I believe that having friends
who are different from me is better than those who are similar to me for two
reasons: to broaden perspective and strengthen cooperation skills.
Consequently, the importance of my view cannot be underestimated for the
reasons I mentioned above. |
