▶ Your Answer : Without doubt,
large field of view is important part of our lives. Some people think that
universities and high schools should teach students specific careers and fields
instead of general subjects, while others do not. Both sides may have their own
reasons to support their views. If I had to choose one, I would say that
schools should teach general subjects to students. There are several reasons
and examples as follow. First of all, a
lot of fields of study enable students to broaden their perspective. They can realize
valuable experiences what they have never known before. To be specific, through
various kinds of subject, they can obtain a diversity of knowledge and so it can
bring them about getting various points of views. For instance, when I was at
high school, it did not allow students specific subjects and any expertise.
Even though I did not want to study because general subjects was so boring, through
these various fields of study, I could expand my perspectives more and more. As
a result, I could realize that accumulating the foundation knowledge have a
greatly influence on my future careers. So I believed that general subjects are
more necessary than specific fields of study.
Second, the
subjects for general education can also motivate students to prepare more about
their future expertise. This is because that they can give a shoot on various
kinds of fields, and so they can find their interests in some specific studies.
Due to these process gaining motivations, additional subjects for careers would
not be necessary to the students. In my case, I have faced to many liberal arts
at universities when I was a freshman. Before that, I had had no interests in any
field of study for my future occupation. However, through the foundation year,
I could find some specific subjects which fit in my aptitude since I tried to
study all kinds of subjects. Without the year that can learn a variety of fields,
I would never obtain any motivation.
In brief, I
firmly believe that the advantages of liberal arts far outweigh the merits of
learning about specific subjects for career and expertise for these reasons I
have mentioned above. All in all, the importance of experiences on many fields
cannot be underestimated in our lives. |
