Nowadays, the more and more parents have eager to raise their children
successfully. Even some people set their own strict rules to teach them wisely.
Of course, some people are conscious about instructing the young with severe
rules might be detrimental because of its forcible features. Although people
may hold different ideas and opinions, I personally support the idea that stern
standards should be needed on account of two reasons.
First of all, children could raise the ability to distinguish which one is
good and bad. They are not mature rather than their parents and under the phase
of learning and embracing something new. So, teaching them things which are not
allowed to act with rigorous regulations would be effective and help them
to develop a lot. In my case, in my childhood year, my mom instructed and
established a strong rule that 'Always to be polite to the older people and
seniors'. At that time, I could realize that how politeness is important and
always keep it in my mind, even until now.
Next, the rigid regulations would make children work harder. If
the parents set a rule regarding their lifestyle, they can settle good
habits. For example, imagine that parents set strict standards that 'Children
go to bed early'. Since rule is the rule, so their children try to achieve it.
If children continue to follow this rule for a long time, they can settle a
good habit and also spend their time wisely forever. Ultimately, those habits
that would increase self control ability cannot help leading them to the
success in the future.
In a nutshell, even though whether setting strict rules to children is necessary
or not is open to interpretation, it seems reasonable to aim making regulations
to the young because of the two reasons discussed in this essay.
