▶ Your Answer :
There might be some people who believe that rash decisions are never right. However, I personally disagree with the above idea for the two subsequent reasons. First, there can be emergency situations which require hasty decisions. Second, hasty decisions save cost.
First, in emergency situations, people need to make decisions rashly. For example, in some situations such as car accidents or emergency patients who are sick in a sudden, we have to handle those problems as fast as we can. This is because how fast we handle it is closely and directly related to the lives of the patients. Let me bring up my mother’s story as an example. When I was in high school, my mother and my aunt were going somewhere together by driving. In a sudden, the car crashed another car and they were hurt severely. So, they made a hasty decision to call 911. They were moved to the hospital and treated soon. While be treated in a hospital, they also made several rash decisions related to the treatments. And thanks to the fast and right decisions, they could get treatments properly and get better soon.
Second, people can save cost in general when they make decisions hastily. What this means is that people can reduce the cost by using intuition or some simple knowledge when making decisions and use the cost for other purposes. In contrast, when people intend to make decisions more carefully, they spent more money to gather information and opinions from diverse channels. According to a study done by Korea University, 80% of the respondents said that they made more rash decisions than careful decisions. This is due to the fact that there are very many decisions to make in their everyday lives and it is really difficult for them to make every efforts for every decisions. They need to save expenses for decisions as well as the time. This example clearly shows that hasty decisions help people reduce cost.
In conclusion, rash decisions save not only time in emergency situations but also cost in everyday lives. In this regard, I strongly believe that hasty decisions can be the right ones.
