질문 Eating home-made food is better than eating out in restaurants or food stands.
There might be some people who believe that eating home-made food has a lot of advantages rather than eating out. However, I personally disagree with the above idea for the two subsequent reasons. Cooking and eating at home can cause serious problems for health as well as increase unnecessary expenditure for ingredient.
First of all, having a home-made meal can attribute the increase of disease regarding digestion. To be specific, there is a high possibility that people suffer from the imbalance of nutrition because they tend to eat the only food they like, not to eat a variety of ingredients like vegetable, fruits, and fish. Let me bring up my personal story as an example. When I was in college, I lived off campus. As I lived in a dorm, I had to have a meal on myself every dinner. I started to cook my favorite food including excessive carbohydrate and protein. After three months, owing to respiratory problems, I went to hospital. The main reason was caused by selective intake of food. Doctor advised me to take various food including vegetable and fruits. It shows that it is quite difficult to have balanced meal, if you cook and eat on yourself.
Moreover, contrary to general expectations, it is a better way to save money if you go to restaurants. To give you an idea, grocery shops only sell the idea in bulks or bundles to make a profit. For this reasons, if you cook at home, you tend to buy ingredients more than you need, which causes you spend money on unnecessary things. A study was conducted by the University of Surrey in 2015 to determine the total expenditure between eating out and cooking at home. There were two groups monitored. The first group was formed of people who go to restaurant in five days a week at least. The other group consisted of people who cook and have a meal at home. The researchers compared the outcomes of overall costs and recorded that the first group spent their money $ 150 on eating out. The latter used $250 to buy ingredients. This is because people who go to grocery to buy meat and vegetable for cooking have a tendency to buy excessive amount regardless of needs. They responded that they have to no choice but to make a purchase because grocery shop only sells bundle or package items. It clearly shows that eating out can save money by reducing unwanted consumption.
In conclusion, it is desirable to go to restaurant for eating because it augments opportunities of appropriate diet as well as save money by reducing the total money for eating. In this regard, I believe that eating out has a much more advantages.
