As the world has become specialized, it is important for a country to have experts in diverse fields in order to progress. Some people argue that the most effective way for a country to develop is to invest on its education. However, I personally agree with the idea that more experts enable a country to progress, but it is not necessary to improve school for the following two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, the government might bring experts from other countries by giving them more annual incomes. To cultivate professionals through an improved education takes long time. The foreign experts help a country to be flourished academically. For example, The U.S education Ministry found a huge difference between Japan and India in the level of professional skills. The Japanese government focused scouting experts from other countries by spent most of budget on education, and India invested lots of money on public education. The researchers found that Japan benefited from the investment immediately. In India' case, many people with specialized skills left India in order to earn more money to rich countries such as U.S.
On top of that, unlike the past, learning professional skills are not limited to school. As the Internet has spread through the public, students can improve expertise through the Internet. Furthermore, it allows people to be educated free of charge. For example, when I was in college, I took a Korean history class as major course. I often felt difficult to follow the class, however, I could not question to the professor since h e was always busy. For this reason, I often utilized the Internet searching for information about the class. I found that it was very convenient and useful. Finally I got A grade in the class.
In a nutshell, it is not necessary to invest in schools for cultivating expertise needed for a country to develop. Instead, a country is better to spend more money on the Internet technology or scouting foreign professionals given that advantages of each investment I have mention above. In this regard, I strongly believe that improving schools is not the most effective way.
