There are many areas that the government needs to spend money on, such as parks, art, and public transit. if a budget deficit occurs, and the government has to reduce its investment in one are, it should be art for the following reasons: parks can relieve stress, and public transportation can reduce air pollution.
First of all, parks can play a significant role as a outlet for stress. because parks help relieve stress and restore health. To be specific, There are many events in parks, such as marathon, jogging, and also people can play sports, which makes them better manage stress, maintain health, and build a quality life. Stress is the main cause of disease and dissatisfying life. Therefore, people in modern society should actively find ways to reduce stress and stay health.
For example, When I was in younger, I had been asthma so that I had tried to overcome this illness. Consequently, I decided to go to the parks next to the my home and I often took exercise in the park. This helped me forget about the stressful aspects of my daily life such as taking exams and writing papers. Hence, this shows that parks are needed to people in order to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.
On top of that, the government should spend money on public transit. because it will help our environment. To be specific, if public transportation increases, people would take transportation instead of using their own a car so that car emissions would be decreased, which as a result will considerably reduce air pollution. This is directly correlated to the enhancement of our ecosystem, which is the foundation of our economies and societies. In fact, protecting the environment offers a major opportunity for us to build a better future.
For example, one incident in my country can prove my point. In the year 2009, Ulsan, a city in the Korea, made public transit fees free in order to promote clean air in the downtown area. people was willing to follow this plan. The result was totally unexpected a big success. people often took transportation not only because it was free, but they also knew it was for the environment. After the implementation of this policy, people began to understand the importance of the environment.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that the advantages of investing money in parks and public transit far outweigh its disadvantages for the reasons I have mentioned above. |
