▶ Your Answer :
The reading and the lecturer both talked
about disadvantages of single-stream recycling. The reading suggested three
disadvantages of single-stream recycling. Although the lecturer agreed with
some disadvantages, she said single-stream recycling is more efficient than
traditional recycling.
First of all, the reading said
single-stream recycling is so dangerous because employees at the plant are
exposed to much risk. However, the lecturer said these danger can be prevented
by safety training and safety equipment such as thick gloves.
Secondly, the reading told that
single-stream recycling is not efficient because it wastes valuable resource.
In the contrary, the lecturer stated single-stream recycling center can get
more resource than traditional recycling center because people can be throw all
kinds of garbage at once.
Finally, the reading argued single-stream
recycling is too expensive to be switched from traditional recycling. Although
the lecturer agreed with that opinion, she said that expensive costs is spent
on only instituting a plant and in other aspect, maintenance costs of single-stream
recycling is cheaper than traditional recycling. She said traditional recycling
needs many trucks for each kind of resource but single-stream recycling needs
only one truck.
For these reasons, the lecturer said
single-stream recycling is better than traditional recycling. |
