▶ Your Answer : Undoubtedly, travel plays a significant role in people’s daily lives. Some people think that the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide, while others do not. Both sides may have their own reasons to support their views. If I were asked to choose one, I would say that a group trip with a tour guide is the best way to travel. There are several reasons as follows.
To begin with, when people travel with a group led by a guide, they can learn how to mingle well with people from different backgrounds. It expose them to different lifestyle and cultures. Such exposure is likely to help them to acknowledge that different values exist, to understand this diversity, and to be comfortable with it. If someone takes a trip by himself , it would be not easy for him to experience this group dynamic with this diversity. For example, when I was in high school, I saw one of my classmates from India eating his meal with bare hands. I felt very uncomfortable by his behavior because it was my first time seeing someone like that. I kept my distance from him and sometimes made of fun. However, when I went to Fiji in a group trip including a tour guide, some members of the group were Indians. As our trip team spent together many time on visiting famous places , going to beautiful beach and eating various kinds of food at some restaurant, I could have many chances to interact with Indian people, and I actually had a great time by talking a lot with them. This conversation with them considerably made this travel more enjoyable. After that time, I got used to this cultural difference. I realized that we just had different eating styles. In fact, we had a lot in common in a way that we all cared about our family and friends, were committed to relationships, and got easily hurt by others say. I no longer feel awkward with them, and they have become my best friends.
All things considered, I strongly believe that a group travel is the best method for the reason I have mentioned above. All in all, the importance of socializing with people from different backgrounds cannot be overestimated in the pursuit of happiness in life. |
