Some people think that a teacher’s payments should not be
based on his or her students’ grades. However, in my opinion, that system is
appropriate to charge teacher’s responsibility and encourage teachers to
develop their teaching skills.
To begin with, teachers are accountable for students’ achievement. They always teach their material during
the class time. Thus it is obvious that they hold their responsibility about
the degree of students’ performance. In this manner, teachers who improve
students’ performance should be awarded. Also teachers who
make their students lose interesting of study should be lowered their payments.
For example, my Korean teacher is usually seemed like having no attention of
students. So I lost interesting of Korean study and my Korean grades get
lowered. I believe that she should receive less compensation than other teachers
who are enthusiastic in their class.
On top of that, that method would be able to motivate teachers to enhance
their teaching skills. In this materialistic society, money and salary become
more important factor in our life. Therefore teachers will develop their
teaching skills closely related to the way to elevate students’ performances to get more salary. Take a study which
is conducted to find the cause which makes teacher get in mannerism. Researchers
reveal the cause in current educational system that there are no incentive to
stimulate teachers to advance their teaching methods. As a result, recent
educational system need spur that would make teachers get study on their
fields.
To sum up, money could be stimulus to teachers to take a back about their
ability and it is clear that teachers who degrade students’ curiosity of studying should receive lower salary
than his or her colleagues. In this regard, I firmly believe that students’ grades should be the crucial criteria that determine
teachers’ earnings. |
