▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtably, choosing to work in a big
company or a small company is an important issue to be discussed. Some people
think that working in the big company is much better than working in the small company,
while others think otherwise. Both sides may have their own reasons to support
their point of views.
If I were asked to choose one, I would say
that it is better to work in the small company than in a big compony. There are
several reasons as follows.
First and foremost, since the company is small,
your influence in the company will be bigger than working in a big company. Your
act will directly influence the survival and prosferity of the company. This
will make you to work with more responsibility. You can develop diligence, passion,
self-discipline, and how to be responsible for your action. These skills are
not required easily and are also very important in our lives. Moreover, when
what you have done to make your company a better one bear fruit, you can feel satisfaction.
People need a feel of satisfaction and pride with their work to be better member
of a society and maintain their workplace.
Secondly, since small company has less employee
then a big company, you can feel like you are working with friends and family.
There are more chance to getting to know other employees then a big company. And
as more of those chances are given, it is highly possible to make inner
personal connections with them. As you grow bonds with your fellow workers and
getting to know each other, it exposes you to different lifestyles, customs,
and even cultures. Such exposure is likely to help you to acknowledge that different
values exist, to understand this diversity and to ultimately be comfortable
with it. For example, my older sister is working in a small company with colleagues
of 30 people or so. She goes a putlock party every once a month with her co-workers.
She made a friend with a young Indian colleague at the party, which turn out to
become one of her closest friends. She did not know about the culture of India
before working in that company. Now, she wined her views and expanded her perspectives
to other cultures and people. This would have not happened if she worked in a
big company.
Based on these reasons, I strongly believe
that the advantage of working in a small company far outweigh those of working
in a big company. |
