Some people think that they should put their money aside for their better prepared future. However, in my opinion, they sometimes need to spend their money without reluctance for their gratifying life. This is because it is helpful for them to enjoy hobbies and build strong relationships with others.
To begin with, hobbies people relish require financial resources. To put it concretely, they need to enjoy diverse pastimes such as playing computer games or sports in order to relieve their stress. Since a specific amount of money is necessary for these activities, spending it should be beneficial to their better life. For instance, I tended to get stressed out when studying hard and handling academic problems, while I went to high school. At that time, I read comic books and played baseball with my friends to get rid of stress and burden. In effect, I spent approximately 100 dollars a month to purchase newly-released comic books and instruments needed for exercising. However, I have never regretted the money I had spent, because I could graduate the high school successfully thanks to my enjoyable hobbies.
On top of that, people need money to form social relationships with others. When they meet friends in school or companions with whom they work at a company, they have dinner or drink alcohol together once in a while. In those situations, they should spend money. However, there are few people who regret spending it, because they typically regard it as financial resources invested for better human networks and their future. For example, a poll was conducted by the Department of Sociology in Seoul National University with 500 employed grown-ups as respondents. The main purpose of the survey was to determine how much money they have spent for their interpersonal relationships, and whether they consider it meaningful or not. As a result, the majority of the respondents replied that it was highly important for their successful future and human relations. In detail, an overwhelming 85 percent of them asserted that they had spent more than 1000 dollars an year for their social networks, which they considered one of the most important factors in their life. This was because private emotion others have to them is really significant to their stay at a workplace. The result of the survey plainly demonstrates that money spent on human relationships is worthwhile to be paid.
To sum up, people have no way but to spend money right away when it comes to relishing their pastimes and building positive interpersonal relationships. It is evident that these points are the sine qua non of making a satisfying and thriving life. In this regard, I firmly believe that it is not always better to keep money as much as possible without using it.
