Some people believe that it is much better to wait until they have the perfect idea when they prepare for presentation than to start working on a presentation as soon as it is assigned. However, in my opinion, starting working on a presentation immediately has much more advantages such as more time to practice and prepare for unexpected situations. To begin with, beginning right away provides additional time to practice the presentation. Even though people have perfect and astonishing ideas, if they don’t present effectively, it can’t be said as a good presentation. To make presenatation perfect, people can’t help practicing continously. There is a saying “failure is a mother of success” in Korea which means that without several times of failure, it is hard to make success. Through continous practice, people can gain results that they want. Therefore, to start working on a presentation as soon as it is assigned is stille better. On top of that, people can cope with unexpected situations by conducting their work immediately. There are some cases that having little time, people have to solve problems that they faced unexpectly. They are likely to be embarrassed and they can’t calm down under these circumstances, they won’t be like this if they have enough time to solve and deal with problems. So, it is important to secure time to cope with unexpected problems by starting working on a presentation immediately. For instance, I had an assignment to make PPT and present in science class. While making PPT, computer shutted down and I had to make that again from the beginning. I could recreate the PPT since I had started the assignment immediately, but if I started the assignment late, I wouldn’t have been able to make the presentation. Like this, people can cope with unexpected situations by conducting theire work immediately. To sum up, if people start their task on a presentation as soon as it assigned, they can have more tme to practice and prepare for unexpected situations. For these reasons, I prefer to start working on a presentation immediately.
