▶ Your Answer : Unquestionably, parents play a significant role in children's daily lives in many of the places where they study or play. A large number of people think that strict rules are not necessary for children to obtain success, while others do not. If I were asked to choose one, I would say that parents have to impose their children to follow strict rules. There are several reasons as follows. Above all, when children follow their parent's strict rules, they can improve their sense of responsibility, which is one of the important qualities to be successful. Parent's strict rules require children many obligations such as abiding by rules, managing times and respecting others. When such obligations are fulfilled, children are likely to realize the importance of being responsible. For example, Jhon, my oldest brother, used to be lazy, selfish and assuming. He also did poorly in high school. He submitted his assignments late many times, used to fight with his classmates, and missed class several times. As my parents acknowledged that it is quite serious, they decided to set several strict rules for him. According to those rules, he has to participate in family dinner on time, read a daily newspaper every morning, and do professional exercise with me, more than three times every week. Fortunately, he began to actively follow those rules and started to change little by little. He realized that his punctuality could help him mingle well with others, while his laziness negatively affects everyone. Thanks to his continuous participation in those rules, he started to get along well with others, do better on his tasks, and even advise others who lack responsibility to make their own strict rules and follow it. Naturally, he was able to raise his grades in high school and received straight A's in his third-grade classes. Moreover, many of his classmates and teachers said that he would succeed whatever he do in the future. I'm sure that without my parent's strict rules, he would still have been fallen behind. In brief, I strongly believe that the advantages of parent's strict guide on their children far outweigh the disadvantages of it for several reasons I have mentioned above. All in all, the importance of parent's astute instructions cannot be overestimated in life.
