▶ Your Answer :
It
might be improper to check reviews of online communities out when people think
of buying a commodity because those can be false. From my perspective, however,
it is the best method to confirm the reviews when people try to buy an
important commodity.
To begin with, people can read honest and frank opinions on the good which
they are willing to buy. In fact, people used to write reviews online frankly.
Due to this, the reviews of online communities will pave the way for people to
consider their purchases. For example, I ordered a T-shirt from one of the renowned
online shopping websites. However, I was not convinced whether the good was
what I had expected or not because it was impossible to see the good before
purchasing it. Thus, I tried to read all of the reviews. Actually, there was
not only the frank evaluation of the good, but also the picture of it so that people
were able to see if it were what they looked for. Consequently, I decided to
purchase this one thanks to the reviews.
On top of that, people could gain the wrong information from magazines.
Companies are inclined to make their commodities look fancy and overestimate
the quality of the goods for their profits. Thus, information from magazines
could be a deception. For instance, I had to move to Seoul, the capital of
South Korea, because I was accepted into Seoul National University to pursue my
doctorate degree in the field of economics. Thus, I considered buying a new
laptop because what I used was broken. Because I was not affordable to pay for the
exorbitant laptops, I made a decision to buy a laptop that was produced in a Chinese
company. In fact, I saw the advertisement this laptop on the university
magazine, and thought this would be the best laptop for me. I ordered this one,
and I found that there were so many technical problems on the laptop later. I
expected the battery of it to persist at least five hours. Unlike the advertisement
on the magazine, it only lasted one hour, so it was inconvenient to utilize it outside.
To sum up, my contention is that people should read reviews from online
communities when they determined to purchase a crucial good. This is because
the reviews are the sources that people can get honest assessments on the good,
and the information from magazines could be false. |
