We live in the most convenient era thanks to cars and airplanes. Those both have a great impact on our lives in many ways such as easier travel, more jobs, and economic development. Which one will have a greater impact on society? I think cars have affected more in our lives. First, the car industry led the economic development. Second, cars are responsible for the pollution problem. First and foremost, the auto industry is of importance to the nation’s economy. The auto industry is leading the other industry’s development such as steels, delivery systems, and petroleum. As the auto industry has grown, those companies need a lot of steel and to drive a car, petroleum is needed. Also, the delivery service has arisen attributable to the auto industry. When the auto industry was in a negative phase, the other related industry has been suffered right off the bat. According to a statistic done by the US National Statistics, one out of five jobs is related to the auto industry. It clearly shows that the auto industry is leading other major industries. If it were not for the development of the auto industry, those industries would not have been successful as now. On top of that, cars are responsible for significant harm to the environment. Although both cars and airplanes both resulted in air pollution, cars have polluted more than airplanes have because there are more cars in use than airplanes. The gases emitted by the burning fuel in the car engines have significant damage to the environment. A study was done by the US Environment Center, the number of cars in use in 2020 was roughly 40 million, which is the highest number ever. Moreover, researchers also noticed that air pollution recorded the most serious than before. As the number of cars has increased, air pollution has become disastrous. In conclusion, cars are not only have stimulated the development of other industries but also have a significant impact on the environment in a bad way. In this regard, I believe that cars have more influenced society than airplanes have. |
