▶ Your Answer : There is a saying that people have two different lives, one in the real world and another one in social media. While some claim that it is harder to educate modern children than it was due to the reason that they are easily addicted to media such as TVs, social media, or Online games, I strongly believe that it is not harder to teach the children.
To begin with, the improvement of media allows better quality of education. Prior to the development of media, children only relied on printed copies for their study and they could not ask or learn new concepts unless they were in the school. However, the innovation of the laptop and phone with the internet has enabled people to share individuals’ knowledge. This led children to study new concepts regardless where they are. If I were to refer to my own experience, I had a big interest in economics in school. But the problem was that there was no way for me to study deeply about the concepts on my own. One day, my economics teacher taught me about his own economics education channel, which gave me a big change. I was not only able to learn the new topics, but also share my opinion through writing comments.
Secondly, children nowadays are more mature to control themselves compared to the past. It is an undeniable fact that this modern world is expecting higher quality of education towards children. And this caused the children to be more mature and enhanced their capacity in every aspect. Nonetheless, if they are distracted by the media, parents can aid them to stand against all of the temptations caused by the media. I watched a documentary last week, which talked about the difference between kids nowadays and the past. The lecturer stated the higher standard of education made the kids nowadays to be better at enduring temptations. On the other hand, kids in the past were more free about their decisions.
To sum up, I allege that the improvement of media did no harm to children’s education since media allowed better quality of studying by broadening the ways to learn, and children in present are more mature than the kids in the past generations. |
