▶ Your Answer : It is debatable whether having a part-time job while attending school can be beneficial for 16 to 17 year-old teenagers. This is an intriguing question because opinions concerning this issue can be different depending on people's perspectives. However, in my opinion, I argree with the idea that working for a part-time job in high school years can be helpful for teenagers. First of all, doing a part-time job during high school years is good for students to broaden their perspectives. To be specific, part-time job gives people to meet various people and expend their experiences which as a result allows them to understand other's lifestlyes and cultures. School classes are limited into increasing academic knowledges which can't expend their views. As modern society is becoming increasingly globalized, today's world requires people with international views. For example, Steve Jobs, who is the founder of Apple, has made great accomplishments in his lifetime. I read online that he was successful because he was culturally sensitive and global-minded. This is becuase he had worked in many local markets when he was in high school and thanks to this experience, he could meet different kinds of people and interact with them. Therefore, having a part-time job plays a vital role in broadening teenager's views. In addition, it is adventageous for teenagers to spend their time in part-time job while they are attending school because it accompanies a learning process. In detail, students can learn how to treat and deal with people which as a result allows people to obtain valuable information and personal growth by working for a part-time job. All students should be educated in diverse ways because education is the most powerful weapon which changes their own lives. To illustrate, according to a study conducted by NewYork Times, it revealed that about 70% of successful CEOs in Silicon Valley did part-time jobs in their high school years. They said that the part-time jobs helped them to grow skills for managing people. Also, this helped CEOs to successfully treat many people in their company which lead to its popularity. Thus, it is legitimate to say that students who are 16 to 17 need to have a part-time job since it contains an educational process. in conlcusion, I think that there are a lot of benefits for teenagers in doing a part-time job while going to school. It is my belief that my argument concerning this issue can be effectively and precisely delievered with the reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget that this topic may have a huge impact on our future. |
