- Q.5 The woman is in trouble because she has a presentation but she is so tired today. The two speakers discuss two possible solutions. The first one is to switch the presentation order. The second solution is to take a shower. I think the second one is better. I have two reasons for this. The first reason is that, as a student, she is fully responsible for completing the presentation. So, she has to put all her effort and time into it. That way, she will be able to finish the presentation. The second reason is that if she finish well the presentation, she will be able to get a good grade. It will make her resume look better and help her to get a better job after graduation. For these reasons, the second solution is better than the first one.
- Q.6 In the lecture the professor talks about benefits of flooding by giving examples. First, it provided a much-needed water resource. For instance, Mesopotamia farmers made canal to bring flood water from the river to the area that they farmed. Also, they made dams to store flood water. Another benefit is that flooding made the land rich. For example, the case of Egypt, ancient farmers in Egypt relied heavily on the annual flooding water. Actually, the desert soil of Egypt was poor in nutrients, so it could not grow without flooding. In this sense, these examples illustrate well the concept of benefits of flooding.
