Topic: The only way for the government to encourage energy conservation is to increase the price of gasoline and electricity.
There may be pros and cons regarding the argument that the only way for the government to encourage energy conservation is to increase the price of gasoline and electricity. I am in complete disagreement with this argument. In this paper, I elaborate on the two strongest reasons for my position.
My first argument for a way for energy conservation should be espoused. This is because television advertising helps us to conserve energy and be well-balanced. While we grow up, we exposed to certain types of information and knowledge about energy conservation, through education at school as well as at home. The problem with this is that most of the information and knowledge is convey from one source's particular viewpoint. Given this, in order to be well-informed and conserve energy, we need to learn about the different viewpoints through diverse news sources such as television advertising. In other words, the government should effort to invest advertising to encourage energy conservation, not increase the price of gasoline. In my case, I acquired knowledge about energy conservation through television advertising. Due to the advertising, I came to be fully exposed to the great achievements of the governmental energy projects. However, my perspective on these governmental projects could not be solely positive when I knew the difficulty of conservation energy and huge budget involved through another television advertising. Without the help of television advertising which the government invests, I might have had a slanted view of what was going around me.
Moreover, my strong support for a way for energy conservation can be rationalized. This is attributed to the fact that television advertising allows us to get the latest knowledge about energy conservation. Our world is evolving at a surprising speed. As a result, we may have difficulty understanding all of the changes about energy conservation. Given this context, It is important that we try to keep current by learning how to conserve energy effectively through television advertising conducted by the governmental organization. In a recent survey carried out by Harvard University, nearly two thirds of respondents felt that they could update their knowledge and successfully adjust themselves to new policy about energy conservation through television advertising. According to the respondents, the television advertising prevented them from being confined to an outdated information on energy conservation. It is no surprise that there has recently been a drastic increase in the number of people who are encouraged to conserve energy by the television advertising.
In a nutshell, my discussion above presents two strong argument for a way for energy conservation which I believe effectively convince the reader.
