▶ Your Answer :
The bar graph illustrates the minutes of
three different types of phone calls in Britain over 7-year periods
from 1995.
It is clear from the chart that Local-fixed
line was the most popular types of the phone calls, while National and
International-fixed line was the second most popular mode. Mobiles was the
least popular means of the phone calls over the researched periods but this category
had a dramatic increase in user minutes.
Firstly, British used the Local-fixed line the
most over the three different phone call types. In 1995, they used it
for just over 70 billion minutes. This figure increased until 90 billion
minutes in 1999, which was the peak in the entire years. After this year, the
figure started to drop and it reached approximately 70 billion of total in
2002.
Secondly, National and International line,
and Mobiles showed increasing trend over the 7-year periods. In
1995, former types of communication network were the second most popular line with
the value of just below 40 billion minutes, and after this year, minutes of the
line was inclined gradually until 2002, which was just over 60 billion minutes. Mobiles started the lowest minutes
with less than 10 billion minutes in 1995. The growth
of this communication mode was steep after 1999 and this trend continued until at the end of researched year with the value of approximately 45 billion minutes .
