By charging admission fee, museums can fund extra budget, and this extra fund will improve facilites at museums. Still, most of museums belong to public organization, most of them are not supported enough money to manage museums. With admission fee, museums will be able to hire more cleaners, equipments and facilities. With admission fee as extra money, museums can provide more improved environment to visitiors.
Second, charging admission fee, it limit entrance people who only really want to visit. When I was traveling to London, I went the British museums to see the exhibits. Entering the museum was free of charge, so there were too many people at the same time. Because entering was free, museums was too busy with people, even if there were not interested in the exhibits. Most of visitors were just stepping into the museum, and many of them were tourist. There were guidance who was controling noise and visitors,but still, was not easy to focus on it.It was free to the public, but it did not provide good conditions to visitors who really want to enjoy it.
Many people are saying that museums should be open to the public for free. However, with admission fee, museums can fund extra budget to provide better enviroment for visitors. In addition, if museums are not free, people will visit only want to spend time for the exhibits, it will make better conditions to other visitors.
