Education is one of the most important factors to develop society and politics in many countries. While educating young people is a high priority in many countries, governments do not spend enough fund to educate adults who cannot read or write. Some argue that educating theses adults should spend more money than educating young people. In my view, I disagree with this opinion as investing to educate young people is more efficient than adults.
To begin with, some people think that every citizen should be fair about learning education regardless of citizens' ages. Besides, government has a responsivility to support education for those who have not been educated appropriately. By investing money to educate these adults as soon as possible, government needs to get rid of hidden unfair which comes from insufficient education. Moreover, well educated parents are likely to pass on the value of education to their own children. As a result, in general, the quality of society would become higher little by little.
However, the others argue that educating children should be theh top priority. There is an idiom that educating young people will affect the nation's destiny in a hundred years. This means that well educated young people will lead the country to be better and civilized in fields of society, politics and education. Moreover, if young people are educated well, adults who cannot read or write would disappear in the near future even though there are some people who have problems to read or write at the moment. This way would be more efficient and economical entirely.
As such, although governments should spend more money to educate adults who have problems to read or write, I believe that education for young people should be a main issue to take profits as well as to develop for the countries |
