The table
indicates the percentage of government budget spending five sectors in Germany,
Italy, and the UK in 2009. Overall, the parts of the spending sectors consist
of Public services, Economic affairs, Environmental protection, Health, and
Education. Interestingly, the most striking features we can see from the chart
is that all of the countries spent the least money on protecting nature.
As clearly
seen from the figures, the significant figure was Environmental protection. In
this part, the UK invested the most amount of money to 1.0%, followed by Italy
and Germany (0.9% and 0.7% respectively). When it comes to the Economic Affairs
and Education, both figures showed similar percent at around 4.0% except the
United Kingdom (6.4%) in 2009.
By
contrast, Public services and Health illustrated the highest statistics over
the entire research period. In Health spending, the UK spent 7.8% budget in
2009 and other two countries showed similar percent from 7.1% to 7.5%. However,
Public services exhibited distinct differences between three countries (8.6%,
6.6%, and 4.6% respectively).
