▶ Your Answer :
Some students think that living in
apartments is better than in university dormitories. However, I strongly
disagree with the idea. I prefer living in a university dormitory. There are
two reasons why I think like that and I will explain those reasons in my essay.
First of all, students who reside in a
dormitory can save their money and time than students who live in apartments in
the town. This is because, in general, university dormitories are very close to
schools. Of course, students don’t need to use their time on their way to
school. Also, a monthly fee of apartments near by universities in town is
higher than of university dormitories. This is absolutely be burden to
students. There is one research conducted by Seoul National Universities in
2014 which demonstrated this situation well. According to this survey, students
who live in dormitories saved their cost of living 200 dollars in a month more
than students who live in apartments.
Secondly, Students who live in universities
dormitories can make strong bond with their school-mate. This is because, they
do many of things and spend a lot of time together because they live in a same
place. Naturally, they feel close to each other and can be good friends one
another. However, students who live in apartments alone cannot build a strong
relationship relatively. For example, I have lived in my universities dormitory
for 3 years, and I met my roommate when I and she were freshman. We were in
same major and can take a lot of class together. Absolutely we spend a lot of
time on doing something together, such as going to shopping mall or
restaurants, doing our assignments and so on. Then now, we are the best friend
for each other. I sometimes think that if I didn’t live in a dormitory, I
cannot be a best friend with my roommate.
To
sum up, there are two advantages of living in a dormitory; saving time and
money, and can build a solid relationship with their friends. For these two
reasons, I firmly believe that living in university dormitories is better for
students than in apartments nearby. |
