" Last week, Buick tied with Lexus as the highest-ranking nameplates in the J.D power "
In this sentence, the meaning of 'tied' is a bit confusing.
Does it mean, Buick and Lexus have become ranking no.1 together?
"Buick and Lexus were followed by Cadillac, Mercury, Honda and Toyota"
I always confused when using 'followed' and 'following'
To me, if one use 'A is followed by B', it seems 'B is the first, and then A comes' ,
but in this article, the meaning seems 'Buick& Lexus > cadillac > mercury> honda ...'
Which is right?
