▶ Your Answer :
Some people think it is better to postpone
the assignment until close to the deadline, so they prefer it. However, in my opinion, working on it right
away is the best thing that I can do, therefore I prefer it. This is because always there are
possibilities that other assignment or something can happen, and it is less
stressful.
To become with, time-consuming things can
occur when deadline is close, so you might not finish it. Imagine that another professor gives you a
lot of assignments abruptly and the deadline is same between all homeworks. Would it be possible to complete whole
assignments perfectly? It is highly doubtful. The only way to do them completely would be
to working on it as soon as you get them. For example, when I was in high school, a
teacher gave me extra homeworks and it was to write an essay. I did not want to write it, so I did not do
that until three days ago. However, suddenly I had to go to my grand
parent's house which was far from my home so I did not have much time. I completed the essay but it was terrible,
and naturally I got a bad grade.
On top of that, you can get less stress
from the assignment. To explain, you can have enough time to
complete it, find mistakes and adjust it. Therefore, you cannot get much stress from
thinking about which your assignment has mistakes or not, and get a high score. For instance, a study was conducted by the
Department of Education, Korea University, to measure the amount of stress of
students in two groups. The first group of students did their work
soon after they knew that they have some assignments. The second group of students started to do
their homeworks when the deadline was tomorrow. The researchers compared the outcomes and
recorded that the former attained less stress than the latter. This was because the former did not have
to worry about mistakes or deadlines.
To sum up, considering the fact that I
might have another works, and I did not have to suffer mentally from the
assignment, there seems be no reasons for me to postpone the work. |
