(AD)123. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should read only those books that are about real events, real people, and established facts. Use specific reasons and details to support your opinion. |
There is an on going debate about whether people should read those books consisted of the real facts. Some people maintain that unsubstantial stories bring only about unnecessary illusion to the real world. However, contrary to the popular opinion, I strongly disagree the given statement in that fiction provides people with more creativity and educational materials.
First of all, reading the fictions plays a pivotal role in allowing people to broaden their thought. Fiction is regarded as a thing that is invented or imagined and is not true. Real events, people and facts often fix people’s mind, while fictions can expose them to the unlimited world. In fact, many studies have verified that there is a clear link between science fictions and scientist. Their biographies show us that they enjoyed reading numerous science fictions. Moreover, in the fiction, through its characters, we can undergo anything, including flying in the sky, fighting for frightful monsters, and being a handsome prince. In this manner, the fiction can enable people to imagine the infinite world.
In addition, fiction is regarded as significant things for the education. No doubt that there is no child to read the textbooks or real facts. Children can learn what is goodness and badness in numbers of fictions. You see, they can realize a sense of diligence in the story ‘A Tortoise and A Hare’, one of the famous Aesop’s Fables. I enjoyed reading a book called ‘Pinocchio’, in my case, I got to know that telling a lie is bad thing, and then made an effort to be honest. If were not for fictions, would you teach children evil with the terrible example of social crime? Also, a mystery novel leads people to improve a sense of judgment and reasoning. In this regard, we can expect a great amount of educational benefits by reading fictions.
In a nutshell, I definitely object to the opinion that reading books made up of only reality. The reason is that fiction makes people have the depth imaginative power and take of lessons. What if there is no fiction in the world? It is the most dreadful and tedious fiction that I have ever seen.
