The author insists that wave farm can be a solution as alternative energy. On the other hand, the lecturer brings up several ideas that contradict the arguments and asserts that the argued advantages of wave farm are just illusion.

First, the author contends that the dependable and constant feature of wave-energy facilities can be easily dismissed. Because technology is new, wave farm facilities can cause some problems when these are installed at harsh marine environment.  Sometimes generators could be malfucntional. This casts doubt on the reading passage's assertion that wave farms is reliable because wave is constant.

Second, the speaker argues that the the eco-friendly characteristic of wave farms is not true. There are moving devices and turbines which need chemical lubricant. So, that substance is highly toxic to marine organism. This counters the reading passage's claim that wave farms do not have any harmful pollutant at all.

Finally, the speaker asserts that floating convertors negatively affect the surrounding scenery. The convertor are painted with bright colors to be spoted by sipping vessels. Therefore, it is noticable to the degree that tourists from near shore can see those. This rebuffs the writers' point that wave-energy facilities is so small that those cannot harm any on landscape.
