Many television shows, magazine, and newspaper articles often focus upon the personal lives of famous people. As I frequantly see the media creates scandals, I would agree with this statement and this essay will explain the reasons in detal as well as the negative effects due to the media unnecessarily invading the personal life of those people.
First of all, I believe the media are only interested in grapping scandals or often exaggerate the stories to gain viewer popularity.A majority of the news media attempt to make the stories look more sensational so that it can maximize profits. Every broadcating station and newspaper company is likely to portray the stories in a way favorable to their own interests which cause the distortion of the fact. The problem of this is that people who were involved in gassip stories are to be victims with no reason. For example, one of the famous celebrities in Korea suitcided a few years ago as the fact she could not endure the distortion and judgement of her in the media.
This brings me to my second opinion about the negative consequences due to the disclosing the celebrities' personal lives with people: love affair, the club they belong to, As media put high pressure upon not only the famous but on other family members and friends who do not want to be exposed in public and they are more likely vicims. Their private lives are not protected from the media just because they are close to the celebrities or public figures.
In short,There is a word, 'A pen is mightier than a sword'. It is definitely true that this over reporting has caused unnecessary negative outcomes and can never take it back. I suggest that people who follow the news be wise to question who is telling them and what they are being told about the famous people who are also human being as we are.
