<Part 1>
Q : What job would you like to have ten years from now?
A : Ultimately, I want to be a pharmacist, but before that, I would like to experience different kinds of jobs. I’m into fashion, so I want to try to work in a clothing store, and I wish to work in a cafe, if I have a chance.
Q : How useful will English be for your future?
A : I suppose English will become an essential part of my future life. Because recently I planned to go to the UK in September, the next year, which means that it is necessary for me to learn English due to the fact that I should use English at all times after when I arrive in the UK. So I think English will be useful in my future.
Q : How much travelling do you hope to do in the future?
A : I hope to travel the whole world. Because I love experiencing new cultures, people, and places. So, whenever I get an opportunity to travel around the world, I would like to go.
Q : How do you think your life will change in the future?
A : I think it will change a lot. After 8 or 9 years, I guess I graduated already, and I will get a job. Perhaps I would settle somewhere. And I suppose I have more friends than now, more chances to have a trip, and more options that I can select.
<Part 2>
Describe a book that you enjoyed reading because you had to think a lot.
You should say:
what this book was
why you decided to read it
what reading this book made you think about
and explain why you enjoyed reading this book.
A : I am not a fan of reading books which include a lot of food for thought. I prefer to read fantasy or thriller, romance genre books such as Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, Twilight series. Because mostly my purpose of reading is refreshing. But If I try something serious, It is usually about artistic things. So, I would like to say the book I enjoyed a lot, especially entailing philosophical questions, is one of the Korean books written by a famous Korean singer. I suppose the title of the book's English version would be Fish who met the water. I’m not sure. At first, I just bought this book as a product of my favourite artist but once I read this book, I totally fell in love with its story and message. I’m not sure but I believe the main theme of this book is on transcendental freedom. The characters in the book are the people who think a lot about real freedom and authentic art. It was quite interesting. Thinking about art and freedom, for me, including a view as a religious way. The book makes me think about freedom, art, death, life, and even relationships between people. So I repeatedly read this book to refresh my thoughts.
<Part 3>
Q : What are the most popular types of children’s books in your country?
A : I believe it is Fantasy, which allows children to develop their imagination. So, lots of parents like to buy books like Fantasy Adventure novel series. Usually it is fun and easy to read, and the proper type of books to start a reading hobby. I was recommended Harry Potter by my parents and primary school form tutor.
Q : What are the benefits of parents reading books to their children?
A : As reading books to children, parents can teach them with unfamiliar vocabulary, sentence structures, and expressions. In their daily life, they usually select the words which are familiar repeatedly. If parents read books to their children, children would more easily learn advanced expressions through the given sentences in the books.
Q : Should parents always let children choose the books they read?
A : I believe it is necessary to suggest a guideline or set a boundary of allowed books range to their kids. The reason why parents have to make a rule is that children can’t distinguish whether this book is hard to read or not and also they don’t know which book is inappropriate for them. In this regard, I think parents have to let their children choose a book in the safe boundary.
Q : How popular are electronic books in your country?
A : I suppose it is half and half. Some strongly stick to buying printed books even though the books are way more expensive. They enjoy collecting books on their shelves and they like to smell the paper’s distinctive scent. And the others, who prefer to read books via their electronic device, seem to be pursuing convenience rather than collection.
Q : What are the advantages of parents reading electronic books (compared to printed books?)
A : Parents can show their children that electronic devices can be used as studying tools, not just for gaming or watching entertaining videos. A printed book is desirable for children’s eyesight, but an electronic book can attract children’s attention, especially those who highly have been rejected reading books.
Q : Will electronic books ever completely replace printed books in the future?
A : I believe no due to the person who loves collecting books one by one. I suppose that this kind of person is not a minority, so the company will continually publish printed books as long as the demand for it becomes tiny. In my perspective, the electronic book is convenient but it can’t completely replace the printed book.
