쓰면서 시제가 뭔가 이상해서 여러번 고쳤어요;;
- Are you a student or do you work?
I work. More specifically, I have worked
at Samsung Medical Center as a nurse for around 6 years but currently (라이팅이면 모를까 스피킹에서는 굳이 길게 늘어서 말할 필요가 없습니다.) in this moment
actually, I am on maternity leave.
- Why did you choose your job?
Well, I have always wanted to become a
nurse since high school. There was no special reason. I just wanted to work in
the medical field because I thought it looks looked cool. Moreover, I love to help
others.
- What is the best thing about your job?
What I like most about my job is that my
patients always appreciate me even though I got paid for my work That is the
moment I feel rewarding. I enjoy my job very much.
- What do you not like about your job?
The thing that I don’t like about my job
is the shift work. Working in three shifts is very tough and wearing people out
physically and mentally. Also, the nurse-patient ratio in Korea is much higher,
more than double I think, than twice as high as that of the United States. Due to the heavy
workload and burn-out, many ended up quitting the job.
- Why did you choose your major?
As I said, being a nurse was my life-long goal since high school so I worked on it. In Korea, there are two prerequisites to become a nurse. One is having a bachelor of Nursing Science, and the other is passing the state examination.
- What do you learn while studying your major?
I have had to learn many things like nursing
for people who are in different stages of life cycle such as Adult Nursing,
Maternity Nursing, Gerontological Nursing and so on. Also I have gone through
all the hands-on learning over 1,000 hours.
