Your Answer ▼ It is believed that young students should focus more on studying field of study such as math and science because it will be more advantageous to their future jobs, compared to non-academic subjects like music, sports, and art. However, I disagree with the idea to a large degree and will give reasons for it below.
Firstly, taking music and sports classes is as important as studying core academic subjects such as social subjects, history, and economics. This is because it plays a key role in children's development and school life. For example, playing sports with peers has a positive impact on physical development. In addition to this, it can reduce stress and ease anxiety, leading to positive effects on mental well-being. It also helps students build good relationships with their classmates by interacting and communicating with them while doing outdoor activities. This may result in satisfaction in student life. Students can benefit from artistic education as they participate in doing creative work at school because it fosters creativity and has positive effects on emotional development.
Secondly, it is essential to those who are talented in extracurricular activities like music and physical education and dream of being musicians and sports players. In society, there are a rich variety of jobs, ranging from professions such as doctors, lawyers, and scientists to artists. Therefore, schools should provide learners with a wide range of educational opportunities including art. With such subjects taught from elementary schools, children would be able to aware of what they are good at and to seek their future careers.
In conclusion, subjects like sports should be taken at school because it will be significant for those who would have occupations related to the subjects such as athletes in the future.
