In the recent years, a large number of rural people have been moving to urban areas because they are able to enjoy more convenience. Some people, however, strongly say that the move causes a serious environmental problem of the city. In this essay, I am to explore both advantages and disadvantages of urbanization.
First of all, cities offer a higher standard of living. This is mainly because life in cities is much more advanced and sophisticated, compared to life that >> 중복 피했습니다 in villages. To be specific, people living in Seoul, which is the capital and the largest metropolis of South Korea, are able to enjoy the most rapid speed of the Internet in the world and utilize the availability of modern public transportation. Additionally, accessing to cultural activities, such as seeing a musical or going bowling, is readily available to urban people. Therefore, by utilizing the services and amenities that were not available in the countryside, people can have a convenient life.
On the contrary, urbanization has resulted in severe air pollution. Due to harmful emissions of smoke and gases from automobiles and factories, atmospheric contamination damaging people’s health occurs. Besides, it is shown in an article on urbanized regions that high amounts of suspended particulate in the air matter caused by a number of vehicles, which contributes to respiratory diseases and allergies, is a huge health hazard>> 주어는 urbanized regions가 되는데 뒤와 연결이 안 되네요 도시화된 지역이 큰 건강 위험인가요?. Consequently, metropolitan citizens are in a situation, where the condition of their bronchial tubes would gradually become gradually worse.
In conclusion, although both positions are comprehensible and reasonable arguments, I absolutely agree with the latter view. The reason why urbanization has more drawbacks than benefits is that it threatens people’s health.
