It is apparent that, the most popular place
to move was Australia throughout the projected periods. Overall, the trends for
immigrating to other countries were declined.
Moving to Australia was the dominant choice
as which recorded at just above 40 thousands British people in 2004, whereas
the number of emigrants to the USA and France were around 22,000 and
approximately 24,000, respectively. All those countries experienced a periodic
fluctuation where France had an increase number of British emigrants to reach
at well over 30,000 people in a year, whereas Australia and the USA recorded at
over 50,000 and about 22,000 migrants in 2006 despite the 2005’s slight drop.
By 2007, the number of emigrants dropped significantly to end at close to
42,000, 20,000 and well below 20,000 for Australia, the USA and France
destination, respectively. Meanwhile, Spain and New Zealand experienced a
stable declining trend from about 35,000 and 22,000 in 2004 to end at close to
28,000 and 20,000 by 2007. |
