The number of children that married couples have on average has been declining for several decades now. Do you think this is a positive or negative development? |
Nowadays, people who got married do not want to have children so that the birth rates have been decreasing for several decades now. I believe that this phenomenon has negative impacts on today's society.
First of all, the government does not prefer the circumstance. This is because the annual tax revenues that the government has imposed to people every year will be dropped. This can cause the loss of well-being. For instance, not having kids means the loss of those who are able to afford the taxes and that can lead to the decrease of budgets which are used for public healthcare, pensions, and so on. Therefore, the quality of one's life is finally declined. This shows the government's disagreement on decreasing the number of children.
Furthermore, the phenomenon results in the loss of jobs in the future. The reason why this can happen is that there is no person who is possible to be assumed. These days, many researchers have maintained that the less people have their kids, the more jobs will be gone, which need children such as teachers. Consequently, the diversity of jobs will be continually declining by increasing married couples who do not have a child.
People who have children are decreasing during several decades and I think this is a serious problem because it leads to the loss of taxes for people's welfare and some jobs are disappeared.
