It is often seen that a majority of students
in universities start their own enterprises even during their semester, which happened
because some colleges recommended them to run their own business. However, I steadfastly
believe that this trend causes detrimental impacts on students’ variable
aspects.
To begin with, some argue that students can
utilize theories which they learnt in schools, running their own business.
However, they are still in learning stages as well as there must be some
limitations for them to apply their overall knowledge to the reality. What they
get is just superficial information of their major not professional, and why
they study is for the test that they might forget which they learnt few years
ago. For instance, an employee who is fresh man in a company takes 2 or 3 years
at least to adapt and appropriately perform in the organization with his
knowledge and experiences. Compared to this situation, even university
students get their own company off the ground with little data is plausible, but it is
impossible.
On top of that, studying, health and
finding hobbies are priorities during university periods. Once one challenge to
run his business in the university period, early and mid of his twenties, not
only cannot he properly manage his grades, but he also might not keep his
condition healthy. In addition, it is university time that people can figure
out what hobbies is the most suitable for them. This can be not efficient if
they are engrossed in working not finding what they really want to do in their
leisure time. For example, if students study and work at the same time, they
cannot wholly focus on only one side, making imbalance between them that they
will fail both of them. They cannot use their me-time for themselves because they
couldn’t find any hobbies for them.
In conclusion, I am convinced that students
could not concentrate on every fields that they have to do if they devote
themselves in running their business while they are in the school. |
