The given line graph provides information
about the amount of goods traveled through road, water, rails, and pipeline in
the UK, between 1974 and 2002 , in tonnage.
Overall, it seems clear that, most of the products
were transported through the road while the pipeline remained the least popular
medium. And many sectors experienced upward trends over the period.
In 1974, around 70 million and 3 million tones
of goods were transported through road and pipeline. They both showed a steady growth
until 1994 at 80 million and 20 million tones respectively. However, the figures of
the pipeline remained constant while the one for the road had a significant
surge by nearly 100 million tones at the end of the period, in 2002.
Water transportation, which had a slightly lower
figure than the rail, outnumbered its competitors after 1978. Also, even after a
huge increase by around 60 million tones, it shows a steady growth by 2002. Similarly, about 40 millions of goods were traveled using the rail in 1974,
However, it had a downward trend until it hits the lowest figure at about 23Million
tones , in the year 1994. Subsequently, it recovered to 40 million tones at the end of
the time. 감사합니다 |
