When we walk in to a social welfare centre, we can see a lot of teenager at there. Some of them seem to be happy to do voluntary works and some of them are not. Then why some students are forcing to do community services?
It is reason of the courses of high school, to do certain hours to attend unpaid community services. The Programmes are mandatory so students have no choice, but to do voluntary works, such as helping for a charity or improving the neighborhood.
Some public believes that, this system is not helpful and a bit of nonsense. Forcing to do the community service by students, who are not wanted to attend, are not helpful for the motivate students nor others. It can make atmosphere less motivate. Furthermore, it is in contradiction to do voluntary work as a compulsory.
On the other hand, it makes great effect to children and also society. Although some of students do not want to help peoples, when they do, it actually contributes to a society. Doing community services in compulsory, also can change teenagers’ personality. Teenagers’ personality is not has been settled yet. Therefore, make them to do warm heart acts like working for a charity, can make them as general adults.
In conclusion, the thing that defines one’s personality is not there mind but action. Kind action can make people kind, no matter the action was compulsory or not. |
