In recent years, the average age of people is increasing
faster ever than before. This essay will discuss some impacts that the
phenomenon would have on a society in the future, and I will give several solutions
to deal with these issues.
The increasing lifespan expectancy will raise issues related
to labor in the near future. Firstly, a number of old people would spend too
much time not working. Accordingly, many retirees would be frustrated and could
not feel a sense of achievement because they would not be able to be involved
in productive activities. In addition, the youth's employment rate would become
higher, (반대인데 잘못 적어주신 거죠?) since the older generations may be reluctant to retire from their
occupations. This is because the ageing populations would enforce the old to
earn money in their workplaces as much as they can in order to prepare for the
rest of their lives.
In response to these problems, the government can play an
important role in intervening in the labor market. To begin with, the government
can introduce some regulations that encourage encouraging companies to provide the old with
part-time job opportunities. It would be also beneficial for the corporations,
as they could employ highly-skilled employees at an inexpensive price.
Moreover, the government can deal with these problems by boosting certain
industries for the elderly. For instance, the South Korean government made plenty
of special facilities to take care of the grandparent's generations. These
facilities have an positive effect on the low youth's employment rate by hiring
the youth. (youth 가 한 문장에 두 번 쓰였으므로 둘 중 하나는 웬만하면 대체해주셔야 합니다.)
In conclusion, I believe that ageing populations will bring
out several employment problems. However, I am convinced that these issues would can be
coped with by the government by offering the occupation opportunities for old
people and establishing more catering service facilities.
