It is a common belief that freedom is such a crucial
factor in many societies because it allows people to speak, act and pursue
what they want. However, I firmly believe that freedom without restrictions
makes the world chaotic, thus countries should limit people for protecting
citizens from danger and making sure that people observe the law. To begin with, I believe that
people’s freedom can be compromised for protecting people from danger. This is
because each individual’s freedom can sometimes violate other members of the
society. For example, most countries prohibit people from owning guns since
gun ownership can be potential hazards to other people. For reference, on
average, nearly 40,000 people die from gun accidents. On top of that, the government can
violate people’s freedom in order to make sure that people abide by laws. Since the law is a kind of system that makes society safe and fair to everyone, ensuring everyone
keeps the rule is a crucial part of a better society. Therefore, to make people
follow the rules, a certain level of law enforcement is inevitable. For instance,
if anyone who seriously infringes the law by killing people, stealing products, or damaging other people’s properties, he or she can be sent to jail. (이 예시는 본론1에 어울리는 내용입니다. 생명, 소유권이라는 보호법익의 보호, 혹은 위험으로부터의 보호에 관한 내용이기 때문이죠.)
To sum up, restricting people’s
freedom is inevitable if governments need to protect citizens and ensure people
follow the law. For this reason, I agree that imposing on people is are sometimes necessary. |
