There are some arguments regarding to teaching history to children whether it is useful or not. I believe that it is a necessary part of education for them both socially and academically. This essay will argue two benefits; in global society and of language by history education. Firstly, history education helps (누구를 도와주나요? 목적어 없습니다) to understand international relations. The international problems from the ancient period often affect the current state relationship. It is hard to be resolved in the absence of a genuine understanding of their backgrounds. For instance, Korea and Japan have difficulties in terms of a trade agreement and extreme nationalists against each other’s nations. Korean requires apology (명사랑 동사 차이 확실하게 이해하고 글 써주세요) about the historical fact that Japan invaded Korea during World War 2 while the government of Japan has denied. They did not teach appropriate history that Japanese violated Koreans to their citizens. (이미 앞에 한번 언급된 이야기입니다) Thus, Japanese does not understand why Koreans insist that Japanese government to (앞에 쓴 동사와 일치하는 부정사를 잘 활용해야 합니다. 문법 적 오류 너무 많은 편입니다) should apologise about the historical abuse against Korea before further international trade and agreement. Some Japaneses perceive it as an aggressive and ridiculous requirement therefore, it causes extreme nationalists and extreme hate against Korea. If people learn accurate information of history between states on early stage, people would understand the situation and problems would be solved easier. Secondly, history also contributes (문장과 맞지 않는 어휘 사용입니다) to learn languages, hence it is not waste of time to learn history for the young generation. History and language are interrelated subjects as language reflects one’s history. It has developed by absorbing people’s behaviours and attitudes over period of time. Also, many languages such as French, English and Spanish shares the same root which is Latin. Once people learn Latin cultures and customs, they are easy to understand the origin of languages which eventually helps to improve language ability. For instance, it would extend the possibility of bilingual since they could gain knowledge of why some words are similar in three different languages. (example로 조금만 말했으면 좋았을 텐데, 너무 길게 쓰신 것 같습니다. 오프토픽입니다) To conclude, teaching history to people from younger age is necessary in terms of higher level of understanding of global politics and linguistic ability. It certainly helps young people’s development therefore, it should not be considered as a useless subject. |
