Your Answer ▼ It has been considered as a controversial issue that
whether high school students are allowed to have part-time jobs. Although some people
insisted that having part-time job exerts a negative influence on study of
pupils, I think that high school students can obtain many advantageous factors
by working as a part-time worker.
On one hand, some argue that high school juveniles will
stress out by working and studying simultaneously. High school pupils are required
to go the extra mile in studying for getting into universities. However, if the students have part-time
jobs during their semesters, it is difficult for them to manage stress level.
For instance, many unexpected stressful circumstances can be generated in
workplaces, such as conflicting with co-workers, problems occurred at random. With
the high pressures that students receive in their workplaces, handling stresses
caused by study would make it impossible for student to have fit mental status.
On the other hand, having part-time jobs allows high
school student to comprehend about individuals’ aptitudes. Knowing talent will
be of great help to juveniles in high school since they need to take their aptitude
into account when they decided their future career. In this aspect, work
experiences help students to know what their talents are. To illustrate, a
friend of mine used to work as a waitress during her high school life. In this
process, she found her ability of customer service, and she availed herself of
this faculty when she determined her career, which was flight attendance. In
this sense, high school student can get benefit of knowing personal talent by
working time-part job.
To sum up, despite the fact that young juveniles can
be exposed to high pressure in taking part time works, I would like to stress
that the advantage is far more preferable to the disadvantage.
