Q. Some people believe that physical
fitness of strong individuals and teams is the reason for most sports
achievements. Others, however, think that mental attitude is more important.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Recently, an interest in sports has
become the subject of heated debate. Some people assert that individuals and
teams need strong physical fitness that lead to sports achievements, while
others argue mental attitude is more significant than physical. Personally, i
believe that both arguments should be given equal weight. In following essay,
both views will be discussed before a conclusion is reached with my
opinion.
On the one hand, it seems difficult to question the idea that physical ability allows more achievements. Perhaps the most compelling reason is that in sports games, the outcome is determined by athletes’ strength. In other words, sport is based on peoples’ fitness and almost directors in sports teams emphasized that the most important element in player selection is fitness capacity. For this reason, there does seem to be solid basis for the claim that high level of physical is more efficient in sports.
On the other hand, it seems short-sighted to contend that physical fitness leads individuals and teams to more victory. An obvious drawback is that willpower has a decisive effect to competitions. In fact, some articles carried out by some sports reporters have revealed that certain players who have patience and passion in their fields outperform their performances. In addition, attitude makes players growing health condition. To be specific, mental ability is connected with athletes’ health, as a result, it causes advanced technics for their sports areas. In light of the above, I also find these persuasive.
In conclusion, it is undeniable that are
a variety of opinions about this topic. However after considering this matter
in a careful manner, i fully support the view that mentality is more significant
than physical for players and teams for the reasons discussed above.
