This issue on learning history is contentious because it combines negative factors with positive elements. Although some people say that learning this subject is a waste of time, I believe that it gives us meaningful lessons and useful knowledge. Therefore, in this essay I will suggest some reasons to support my opinion.
There are two main reasons why some people consider history as a useless subject. First of all, most public are forced to memory specific dates and plots of historical events in order to get good grade in school, as a result of it, most of them lose their interests in acquiring history and become forgotten almost all of these rigid information. Second of all, some of historical facts are too old to apply on modern society. As an example. human beings in old sstone age used some tools made of stone and locks therefore some people think these equipment become extremely absolet and learning about these is on use for people living in international technology era.
Despite some drawbacks I mentioned above, I strongly argue that acquiring history is a essential part of knowledge. This is because the fact that history is repeated. A great example for this is Japanese colonization in Korea. In that period, Japanese plundered our precious poverty, such as from rice to human resource, because of the purpose to make their county through wars. Due to this tragic historical event, Korean lost their freedom and precious families. Therefore, we should define cause, problem and solutions by learning history in order to preserve our poverty and country.
In conclusion, acquiring knowledge by attending in a historical class and reminding lessons from it is one of the best way to improve quality of life of human beings in the contemporary community around the world.
