In the contemporary society, people can frequently hear news about famous people’s lives, which often seems to be fairly private issues, (comma) such as divorce, bankruptcy and personal relationships. Even though celebrities could take many advantages from their popularity and reputation, I believe that it could be an invasion of their privacy. Great Intro!
To begin with, I agree that the public would give a lot of attention to famous people’s lives. Since people usually think that the lives of famous film actors and celebrities are different with those of normal people, the public become curious about what they eat and wear, and where they spend their vacations. For this reason, many reality TV programs in South Korea showing top stars’ ordinary lives as it can gain high TV ratings. The clothing, foods and activities shown in the programs often became trends in the country. Therefore, I believe that the great interest of readers and viewers encourages many publications to feature famous people’s lives despite the possibility of infringing these celebrities’ privacy.
However, we must consider that they are also human beings that want to keep their privacy, (<- no comma) even though they could take a lot of economic benefits from their popularity. They sometimes would suffer from excessive attention and public scrutiny. A famous singer said that the most popular date venue for celebrities is in their own car to avoid the paparazzi. I believe that the media should be careful not to invade their privacy. They should first ask permission from the people being photographed before publishing the photos in newspapers or magazines.
In summary, even though I understand that the public could become curious about popular celebrities, the media should be more considerate about invading famous people’s private lives.
