Undoubtedly, people's skills play a significant role in our lives. Some people think that people should only concentrate on a single skill for their success, while others do not. If I were asked to choose one, I would say that it's better to cultivate many skills. The reasons are as follows. First of all, when people have many skills, it can increase their overall happiness because developing many skills gives them a chance to experience something different from what they would do in their usual routine. Therefore, several skills can make them live more actively and it prevents them from being bored. For example, my sister often felt depressed because she had to spend the whole day painting pictures for her work. However, after she developing a new skill, playing piano as her hobby, she was able to deal with her work stress and let off some steam. Also, she was able to spend her time more actively. This case illustrates that making many skills tend to make people passionate.
On top of that, multiple skills help people find new jobs easily. These days, many companies require a lot of skills to their employees. For example, a design company called for their workers to develop many skills such as excellent foreign language skill, computer skill, and communication skill and so on. Thus, to get a good job and maintain their job, people need to have a variety of skills. Also, by having these, people are likely to succeed because they can survive in a competitive world.
In conclusion, the importance of having many skills cannot be overestimated because people are required these from their companies and people can more enjoy their lives during developing new skills. For these reasons, I firmly believe that people can succeed with multiple skills.
